Verständnisfrage:
Wordpress bietet doch von Haus aus einen Kommentarfeed an?Wo ist nun der Unterschied zu deinem?
Die Kommentare werden auch im normalen Feed dargestellt (also dem, in dem alle Beiträge sind).

Question was: WordPress already has a comment feed, why this plugin?
The comments will be displayed in the normal article feed, not the comment feed, where the post itself isn’t shown.
Ich habe versucht, unter Options > Feed With Comments, die Anzeige einfach nur auf deutsch zu übersetzen. WP sagt, Options have been updated, aber im feed bleibt statt “am” at und “schreib” wrote. Habe auch kurzfristig die Rechte des Plugins geändert, hat bisher keine Auswirkung.
Wahrscheinlich ist der Feed bei dir einfach noch im Cache abgelegt oder so. Hab ihn mir gerade angeschaut, ist ganz sicher auf Deutsch ;-)

Noch eine Design-Frage: Wenn du dir meinen Feed ansiehst, dann habe ich einen überflüssigen “Punkt”, wie bekomme ich den weg? Direkt unter h2
Du hast, so wie das für mich aussieht, beim Layout alles zwischen <li> und </li> gesetzt, richtig? Das ist nicht nötig, die werden (im Moment) noch automatisch hinzugefügt. Ich bastel dann später noch eine Abfrage rein, damit sowas nicht mehr passiert. Danke für den Hinweis! Morgen kommt dann 0.2 ;-)

aber ich glaube, dann würden meine besucher die seite ja gar nicht emhr aufrufen ;)
ich zumindest besuche stamm-blogs nur zum kommentieren und um die kommenatre zum artikel zu lesen.
ich finds klasse schon eingebaut und das mit dem punkt hatt ich auch aber die s waren schon von anfang an da
Tolle Idee! Wie sieht es mit der Aktualisierung bei Services wie Bloglines aus? Bekommen die Leser dann ständig alle Artikel, bei denen sich ein Kommentar hinzu gesellt als neu angezeigt oder auch bei denen, wo es keine neuen Kommentare gibt.
Zum Problem von Susanne: Du gibst nach Aktivierung des Plugin eine Tagreihenfolge vor, wo du auch das li schon drinn hast. Allerdings hast du im Code auch nochmal li, so dass es zu dem doppelten punkt kommt. Vielleicht solltest du es ganz dem Betreiber überlassen ob er li oder irgendeinen anderen Punbkt nutzt.

Super. Das fehlte noch für WP. Ich finds nämlich auch irrsinnig lästig, zum Kommentare-lesen jedesmal jede Site aufzumachen.

Great. That was just missing for WP, because it’s annoying to have to visit every site everytime in ordner to read the Comments.
@Frank: Die Kommentare werden sozusagen an den Inhalt des Beitrags drangehängt. Sprich wenn ein neues Kommentar kommt, dann wird der Beitrag auch als neu (bzw. verändert) angezeigt, bei Bloglines z.B. auf jeden Fall. Allerdings gilt das nur für die Beiträge, die sowieso schon im Feed angezeigt werden (in der Regel die letzten 10)
Wie gesagt, morgen kommt in jedem Fall ein Update mit ein paar Änderungen/Neuerungen.
Noch ein Vorschlag/Idee:
Wenn ich meinen Feedreader auf einer Seite nach Feeds suchen lasse, dann findet er drei Feeds von WordPress, RSS,Rss 092,Atom, deine FeedPlugin findet er nur auf der single.php.
Wäre es nicht netter, da dein Plugin Artikel UND Kommentare erhält, wenn er auf der index.php zu finden wäre?
@Susanne: Auf der single.php ist das Plugin nicht aktiv, einfach weil der entsprechende FIlter dort überhaupt nicht angewendet wird. Und eigentlich sollten die korrekten Feeds auf der index.php zu finden sein, zumindest werden sie im Header korrekt verlinkt.
Nebenbei: Hab eben noch eine neue Version 0.2 hochgeschoben. Da gibts jetzt auch die Möglichkeit, ein Kommentarformular einzubinden. Wäre klasse wenn das jemand ausprobieren und mir Feedback geben könnte.

sollte in dein Kontaktformular im Feed nicht noch ein Mathe-Spam-Plugin, wie zb von sw-guide eingebaut werden oder ist das überflüssig?
Ich habe hetz mal die version 0.2 hochgeladen und das aus dem feed kommentieren aus probiert das problem dabei ist das ich immer nur zu dem neuesten artikel kommentieren kann egale welechen ich ausgewählt habe es der kommentar geht immer nur zum neusten
@Susanne: Stimmt, ich benutze das Plugin auch nicht selber. Es war eine Anfrage von jemandem, aber ich dachte mir dass auch andere es nützlich finden könnten.
Die Spam-Geschichte habe ich ehrlich gesagt nicht bedacht. Eigentlich war es ja auch nur eine kleine Idee für einen Zusatz. Mal sehen was sich da drehen lässt, für den Moment sollte es aber wirklich ausgestellt bleiben.
o.k, ich stell ja erst mal alles an ;-), aber ich finde, du solltest dein Plugin hier auch nutzen!
Uhm, something’s gone pretty wrong… since installing the plugin my feed has dissapeared (wordpress returns an empty file), and deactivating it doesn’t bring it back. Do you have any idea what could’ve gone wrong?
That definetely should not happen :-)
Basically, all the plugin does is modifying the content of a post through the use of a filter. Actually I don’t know why you got an empty page – yet. On deactivation, all things should be back to normal, I assume that the feed is still cached by your client. If your blog’s called Style.overSubstance, I can assure you, your feed’s fine ;-)
Do you have any other plugins running related to comments and/or feeds?

@Jeriko: Apparently I was struck by the same 2.0.6 bug you mention, but since i upgraded to 2.0.6 at the same time as installing your plugin I blamed the wrong thing. Sorry!
Der haut leider bei mir (WP2.0.7) ein paar slashes zu viel rein, das sieht dann so aus: href=\”http://www.entartete-kunst.com/wieder-was-gelernt/#comment-5871\”>
Missi mentioned unnecessary slashes, which causes the links not to work. Fixed.

Does this add a new RSS feed URL… and if so, what is it? Thank you for creating this plugin… it allows me to keep a feed format I had used for a long time on my old Movable type blog.
Nope, it modifies the original feed.
Thanks for the plugin, there is an obvious need for this. But I am not sure it works for me (using WordPress 2.1.2). I still seem to have the regular separate comment feed (http://www.unet.fi/fransblog/comments/feed/) and entries feed, without comments in it (http://www.unet.fi/fransblog/feed/) — what might be wrong? I have activated the plugin normally, and the plugin options remain in their default setting.
The plugin works for you as well, I checked your feed this minute. However, the date of the feed doesn’t change, so it might be that your reader doesn’t recognize the changes (e.g. new comments) made to the entries.
Ok, thanks for looking into this. When I look in the Thunderbird reader at the Atom feed (http://www.unet.fi/fransblog/feed/atom/) I can actually see the comments, but not in the old RSS feed (http://www.unet.fi/fransblog/feed/rss/). Oh well — I suppose I’ll just recommend Atom for those who are interested in following the comments, too.
